Hi, I’m Masoud Khalilian
I am a Full-Stack AI Engineer and a Data Science & Engineering Master’s student at Politecnico di Torino. With over 6 years of experience, I bridge the gap between complex data models and production-ready, intuitive user experiences.
🚀 What I Do
I specialize in the intersection of Agentic AI, Data Engineering, and Modern Web Architectures. My background in Computer Software Engineering allows me to not just design machine learning models, but to architect the entire ecosystem around them—from high-performance backends to pixel-perfect frontends.
Currently, I am a full-time AI/ML Engineer at Zirak srl, where I architect production-grade AI meeting assistants using LangGraph, WhisperX, and RAG pipelines.
🛠️ My Journey
Over the years, I’ve navigated a diverse technical landscape:
- AI & Research: Developed resource-constrained semantic segmentation for waste sorting and automated entity extraction pipelines for the University of Kentucky.
- Full-Stack Product: Built high-frequency trading dashboards for Dorfak Intelligence and founded Data Cleaner Assistant, a Windows desktop application built with Python and Tkinter that automates messy spreadsheet workflows.
- Core Tech: My toolkit includes Python (PyTorch/FastAPI), TypeScript (React/Node.js), and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Docker).
💡 My Focus
I am deeply passionate about Human-in-the-Loop AI systems. I believe the most powerful technology doesn’t replace humans but empowers them. That is why I focus heavily on agentic workflows—I believe AI is our complement, not our completion (pardon the cheesy phrasing!).
Whether it’s optimizing a Deep Learning model to run on edge devices or building a real-time WebSocket pipeline for collaborative tools, I thrive on solving “real-world” problems that have a tangible impact.
🏗️ Current Projects & Experiments
Beyond my professional work, I am a constant builder. My current “pet projects” and daily task tracker are built using Rust and Svelte, as I’m currently exploring the performance of memory-safe systems combined with the elegance of reactive frontends.
